Have your say on The Woolwich Leisure Centre Scheme
Greenwich council is planning to build a new leisure centre in Woolwich town centre. There are also plans for up to 500 new homes, including a certain amount of ‘affordable’ housing.
The proposed development will include shops, places to eat, public spaces and the refurbishment of the Tramshed theatre and arts centre.
The council and the developer Hill are inviting feedback on the plans, which you can read and comment on here.
Door knocking days on 25 and 30 October
Greenwich and Bexley Green Party is working hard to elect Greenwich’s first even Green councillors next May. Join the team as we go door-to-door asking voters about their concerns. You will be paired with another activist for door knocking, and we always enjoy a good chat over a drink afterwards.
The next two door knocking days are Monday 25 October and Saturday 30 October. On 25 October, we are meeting outside The Pelton Arms, 23-25 Pelton Road at 5.30pm. On 30 October we are meeting outside The Vanbrugh, 91 Colomb Street at midday.
For more information or to volunteer, contact mattbgreenwich@gmail.com for Monday 25 October or johnholmesfreelance@gmail.com for 30 October.
