People’s Question Time: Your chance to grill the mayor

People’s Question Time is taking place online at 7-9pm on Thursday 11 February. Mayor Sadiq Khan and the London Assembly will be answering questions on a range of topics including transport, air quality and housing.

If you have questions you want to put to the mayor regarding the Silvertown Tunnel project, low traffic neighbourhoods (LTNs) or any other topic on your mind, this could be your chance.

Grants available for local projects in Greenwich

The Greenwich Neighbourhood Growth Fund is open to applications from local residents, for projects which provide community facilities, environmental improvements, new play equipment or improvements to community buildings.

One example of previous success with the Growth Fund has been funding of school ecology projects in the borough.

Help the police by becoming a ward panel member

The Greenwich Peninsula policing team have put out a call for ward panel members, to help engage with and tackle local crime. A tweet from @MPSPeninsula said:

“We’re still recruiting for Ward Panel Members! It’s a fantastic opportunity for the community & your local neighbourhood officers to engage and tackle crime within the area. Please email in your interest to join the panel SNTRG-.Peninsula@met.police.uk”
