The COP26 agenda: is the Silvertown tunnel compatible with London’s climate commitments?

There is a public seminar taking place at 5pm on Thursday 7 October, called: ‘The COP26 agenda: is the Silvertown tunnel compatible with London’s climate commitments?’

It will take place at the University of Greenwich and is organised by the Institute of Political Economy, Governance, Finance and Accountability.

The speakers will be:

  • Rachel Aldred, Professor of Transport and Director of the Active Travel Academy, University of Westminster
  • Andrew Boswell, Independent Scientist and Consultant on Climate Emergency Planning and Policy
  • Simon Pirani, author of The Silvertown Tunnel is in a hole, so Stop Digging; Senior Research Fellow, Oxford Institute for Energy Studies

Next GBGP monthly meeting is on Wednesday 6 October

The next monthly meeting for GBGP is Wednesday 6 October at Christchurch School Community Garden, 45 Commerell Street, SE10 0DZ.

Access to the Community Garden is on Blackwall Lane not Commerell Street.

There will be no Zoom alternative for this meeting, minutes will be sent to members afterwards.
