Starting point for Stop The Silvertown Tunnel march

On Saturday 5 June, Stop The Silvertown Tunnel Coalition is organising a protest march, starting at 2pm. The starting point has been confirmed as Terry Spinks Place, Canning Town.

Meet there from 1.30pm and bring banners: the organisers want to make sure the march is as visible as possible!

Bexley by-election result for Longlands

Further to last week’s announcement that Green Party candidates came third in all four Greenwich wards, there was also a third-place finish in Longlands, Bexley. However, in Longlands, it was the Conservative candidate that ultimately won, as opposed to Labour in the four Greenwich wards.

Woolwich exchange planning meeting on Tuesday 25 May

There is going to be a planning meeting on Tuesday 25 May about the blocks opposite the Woolwich Arsenal development, with a chance to make comments and objections.

The meeting is open to the public and is being streamed live on the Council’s website https://royalgreenwich.public-i.tv/core/portal/home starting at 6.30pm. The official description of the site is: Woolwich Exchange, land bounded by Plumstead Road, Burrage Road, Spray Street and Woolwich New Road, Woolwich, London SE18 7BZ.
